I got a very wonderful surprise in the mail today: my gift from the Equestrian Blogger Gift Exchange! Pretty much the only mail I get are bills, so anytime I get something else in my mailbox I get pretty excited. Just imagine a five year old doing a happy dance in the middle of the parking lot… except I’m 26. So while it might not be nearly as cute, it’s certainly just as entertaining. Now that you can properly visualize the scene, let’s get to the loot!
Yesterday I sent out emails for the second annual Fly On Over Equestrian Blogger Gift Exchange, letting everyone know who they’ll be shopping for. If for some reason you didn’t receive an email from me, please let me know! This year we ended up with 49 participants, which is a huge increase over last year. I want to personally thank everyone who decided to join in on the fun and get into the holiday spirit by doing something nice for those in our little online community. It means a lot to me to be able to give back in this manner, so I want to recognize everyone who is helping me accomplish this.
This is the last call for any equestrian bloggers who want to join the gift exchange! I’ve replied via email to everyone so if for some reason you didn’t get a response from me, please comment here. I can’t wait to see who I draw and check out everyone’s fabulous gifts!!
In case you missed it, Fly On Over is hosting an Equestrian Blogger Gift Exchange again this year! Last year we have more than 25 participants and it was a ton of fun giving [and receiving!] gifts. So far we’ve got nearly 40 bloggers signed up and I’d love to make it to 50 — the more the merrier!
Last year I said thank you to the equestrian blogging community by hosting an Equestrian Blogger Gift Exchange in the month of December and much to my delight it was a huge hit. I’ve already had a few of you ask if I planned on repeating the performance — so here it is: Fly On Over’s Annual Equestrian Blogger Gift Exchange!
The community we have as equestrian bloggers is truly tremendous. For the most part, we all get along and support each other, which is something I’ve found difficult to replicate in the real world. I truly appreciate everyone’s words of encouragement, congratulations and sympathy throughout this year as Miles as I shared our ups and downs with the world. You’ve all been such a great support system for us that I could never really express my gratitude sufficiently. I’ve enjoyed immensely getting to know all of you and some of us have become really, really close these last few months. I’ve learned so much about horses through this equestrian blogging community that I never would have without it; and I’ve found a great place to express my creativity. So this is my small and humble way of thanking you for all that you’ve done for Miles and I in 2014. Ya’ll are the best <3
