3rd Annual Equestrian Blogger Gift Exchange

It’s that time of year again, dear readers! Fall has just flown by for me this year, and I’m currently elbow-deep in my very first Thanksgiving Dinner. Cooking such a big meal for so many people is a little overwhelming (especially since I usually call making frozen pizzas cooking), so I thought I’d lighten my mood by giving back and starting Fly On Over’s 3rd Annual Equestrian Blogger Gift Exchange!

As has become tradition, I want to kick off the festivities with a heartfelt thank you. Thank you for reading this little blog, commenting with words of encouragement and for always being there for me — through thick and thin! Being a working adult amateur certainly has its fair share of challenges as we all work to balance our riding goals and love of horses with time, family, friends and finances. It’s not easy, but it’s 110% worth the struggle and I love being able to share my journey with you.

Hands down the best thing I’ve gained through blogging has been the amazing friends I’ve made along the way. It’s incredible to travel around the country and always be able to have a friend (no matter where I am), and I can’t thank ya’ll enough for sharing your equestrian advice with me, letting me cry on your (virtual) shoulder and celebrating with you as well. Some of my very best friends have been met through this amazing community and it truly means the world to me.

Equestrian Blogger Gift Exchange: How it Works

For those who have never participated, the gift exchange is fun secret Santa style. Bloggers interested in participating send me an email to yours truly with the information below by Wednesday, December 9. I’ll mix and match everyone so we all send and receive one gift (if there’s an uneven number, I’ll send out two gifts <3). Participants have until Christmas to buy and send your gift. The monetary limit is $20 — this isn’t a hard and fast rule, but please don’t spend too much more. The goal is to make everyone feel the holiday cheer and I don’t want anyone to feel left out! In the past, many bloggers have written a post about the gift they receive, thanking their secret Santa; I love reading about all the gifts, and I’ll set up a blog hop for them like last year.

1. Send an email to flyonovereq(at)gmail(dot)com with the following info by Wed., Dec. 9!

Your Full Name
Blog Name and URL
Shipping Address
Some information to help your Secret Santa shop for you (gift ideas, a bit of information about yourself and/or your horse, etc.)
Whether or not you’d be willing to ship to Canada and/or the UK

2. Check your email on Friday, Dec. 11 to see who you’ll be shopping for!

3. Send your gift the week of Dec. 21 (or before, if you’re on the ball)

4. Receive your awesome gift and thank your fellow blogger

Feel free to share Fly On Over’s Third Annual Gift Exchange on your blog; the more the merrier!
