I have a very important question to pose to readers today: do you change the length of your stirrups to jump? I know it’s a very small thing, and I’m sure everyone does it differently, but this question seems to pop up in my riding at least once every few months. So naturally I’m curious as to everyone’s thoughts on the subject. But let me back up, and give you some insight on my personal dilemma.
I got a very wonderful surprise in the mail today: my gift from the Equestrian Blogger Gift Exchange! Pretty much the only mail I get are bills, so anytime I get something else in my mailbox I get pretty excited. Just imagine a five year old doing a happy dance in the middle of the parking lot… except I’m 26. So while it might not be nearly as cute, it’s certainly just as entertaining. Now that you can properly visualize the scene, let’s get to the loot!
A few weeks ago I hinted at a project I was working on. I was super secretive [which is not easy for me] and asked some of you to do some beta testing for me, for which I was super grateful. Many of you responded and gave me some wonderful feedback, some of which I’ve incorporated already and some that I’ve filed away for the future. Either way, thanks in large part to all of you, I’m ready to reveal my new project:
Yesterday I sent out emails for the second annual Fly On Over Equestrian Blogger Gift Exchange, letting everyone know who they’ll be shopping for. If for some reason you didn’t receive an email from me, please let me know! This year we ended up with 49 participants, which is a huge increase over last year. I want to personally thank everyone who decided to join in on the fun and get into the holiday spirit by doing something nice for those in our little online community. It means a lot to me to be able to give back in this manner, so I want to recognize everyone who is helping me accomplish this.
